Chaplain Care
“Come unto me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matt 11:28)
Our Chaplain ministry has grown out of relationships that have formed through our drop-in. Our Chaplain service is provided in prison, hospital, hospice and home visitation. For people aging in our community, the need for increased support navigating the health care system, along with consistent emotional support, is essential. For many who do not have strong family connections, the chaplain care they receive is their most consistent personal support. Chaplain care is often understood as visitation, but it means much more. In our context it looks like walking alongside individuals as they attend difficult medical appointments or seek to make decisions about long-term care, etc.
